HISTORY OF THE FLAME OF LOVE — how did this movement arise?
The Flame of Love, a global Marian movement of Catholics that emerged in Latin America and Hungary and in the last few years, has since spread rapidly across all continents and is now present in more than 50 countries including Singapore, India, the Philippines and Papua New Guinea.
The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is based on the writings of the Hungarian mystic, Elizabeth Kindelmann (1913-1985) and, more specifically, on her spiritual diary written between 1962 and 1966. Elements of the movement were first approved by Cardinal Echeverria Ruiz (Archdiocese of Guayaquil) in Ecuador in 1989. With echoes to Pentecostal movements, the Flame of Love deploys a variety of prayers and devotions centered on the loving figures of Jesus and Mary. Yet, the Flame of Love is more a mystical movement than a devotional organization.
“The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is the greatest miracle I have ever worked. It will blind Satan, and through your prayers, you will save souls. This is the sign of the latter times: the Flame of Love is like Noah's Ark for salvation.”
This comparison to Noah's Ark is profoundly significant. Just as Noah's family found refuge from the great flood through obedience to God's command, so too can souls today find refuge from the spiritual deluge of sin and confusion through devotion to the Flame of Love of Mary's Immaculate Heart.
The Flame of Love represents heaven's urgent response to our troubled times, offering a pathway to conversion, healing, and eternal salvation for all who embrace it with sincere hearts.
Why has it taken so long for the MOVEMENT TO GAIN RECOGNITION?
It was impossible to properly investigate the Flame of Love in Hungary under Communism but, with its collapse in Eastern Europe, the investigation began.
After a multi-year examination, His Eminence Péter Cardinal Erdő, Primate of Hungary and Archbishop of Esztergom-Budapest, approved both the text of Elizabeth's Spiritual Diary and the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Movement, and established it in Hungary as a Private Association of the Faithful with Juridic Personality on June 6, 2009.
Since then, the Movement has exploded around the world bringing a powerful force of renewal.
what is THE FLAME OF LOVE? — THE FLAME OF LOVE is jesus himself
The Flame of Love is Jesus Himself, who flows from Mary's Immaculate Heart.
The Flame of Love is the greatest gift which God has given to the world since He sent His only Son.
This Flame of Love is a powerful force of grace. The Father's gift to all humanity, not just Christians.
This Flame blinds Satan, causing him to lose his power over persons and situations. This allows people to respond to God's graces and be sanctified.
Mary, Mother to All People, wants to pour out the Flame into every heart. As a good mother would, Mary suffers until she can find souls who want to receive this Flame.
The effects of the Flame of Love graces is to sanctify and save souls, release souls from purgatory, and to usher in the final Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
A Torrent of Grace: The Divine Mercy Parallel
God assures us “where sin increased, grace abounded all the more” (Romans 5:20).
Pope John Paul II canonized St. Faustina and established the new Divine Mercy Movement, which revealed new gifts of mercy coming from Jesus' heart. The Flame of Love Movement is very similar, making all of humanity aware of a new fire, “a torrent of grace,” coming from Mary's heart.

“I assure you, my little one, that I have never before given into your hands such a powerful force of grace, the burning flame of the love of my heart. Ever since the Word became Flesh, I have not undertaken a greater movement than the Flame of Love of my heart who rushes to you. Until now, nothing could blind Satan as much.”
No one has to believe these private revelations (of Divine Mercy or of Flame of Love) but accepting these revelations provides the capacity to receive God's gifts. Divine Mercy comes from the diary of St. Faustina. Flame of Love comes from the diary of Elizabeth Kindelmann.

The Flame is meant for the entire world. Our Lady promised many miracles which ALL would realise took place, without any elaborate investigation.
To Save Souls (Especially Family Members)
Maternal intercession at deathbeds and trials
The diary contains many promises concerning the family. Elizabeth was a mother of six children, all of whom had their own struggles. She worried about their eternal salvation.
